LAST LAB! π
Announcements!
β This is the last lab!!!
β Do APS1 first if you havenβt yet (APS2 can then be done during
buffer)
β Course evaluations: β Linked here
β APS buffer labs 8/12 and 8/13
β Good luck on the final!! :))
Last lab: APS 1
β Cross correlated beacons with received signal
β Found the offsets (in samples) between peaks, converted to TDOAs, and calculated distances from each beacon
β What was the missing piece that we needed to calculate distance?
β Hint: we donβt have absolute times of arrival for all the beacons, only offsets.
3 beacon example
β Let beacon centers be: (x0, y0), (x1, y1) and (x , y )
β Time of arrivals: t0, t1, t2
β Distance of beacon m (m = 0, 1, 2) is dm = vt = R
(circle radii)
Circle equations: (x – xm)2 + (y – ym)2 = d2m
β R =

Important notes
β Read over the math carefully, Weβll be asking you about it!
β Stay safe and enjoy the rest of summer! *Virtual hand wave*
β Thank you for being part of this remote offering!
